Fetch and Edit Asset Tracker Configuration

To determine the current configuration of your asset tracker, go to Asset > [Asset Name] > Settings > 'Fetch Current Settings' under Device Settings. The Device settings should update to reflect the current configuration after retrieval.

To change the configuration, select Edit in Device Settings and change the configuration under TopFly Settings. Press Save Configuration when you would like to send the new configuration.

How often the tracker reports (ping rate)

How often the asset tracker reports depends on the vehicle's ignition state:

• Ignition on: the default ping rate is 60 seconds.

• Ignition off: the default ping rate is 24 hours.

This only works if the ignition cable was wired correctly during installation. If the tracker can't read the ignition state, it won't switch between these two rates.

To change the ping rate, use the flow above: select Edit in Device Settings, update the interval under TopFly Settings, then press Save Configuration to send the change to the device.
