ZenTurbo Installation Guide

Product Overview: ZenTurbo is a BLE beacon designed for asset presence tracking. It is powered by a replaceable battery and can be manually turned on/off using an internal button. The device comes in a circular casing with small oval flanges on opposite sides for optional screw mounting. Pre-cut double-sided tape is included for standard installation.

2. Before You Start

You will need:

  • ZenTurbo device

  • Included double-sided tape

  • Optional: Screws for mounting (not included, provided by customer)

  • Compatible BLE gateway

  • Smartphone with KBeacon Pro app installed (iOS/Android)


3. Step 1 – Prepare the Device

  1. Remove ZenTurbo from packaging and locate the internal button.

  2. Press and hold the button until the device turns on and starts broadcasting.

  3. Open KBeacon Pro and verify the device is advertising and the MAC address is correct.


4. Step 2 – Mounting the Device

Option 1 – Double-Sided Tape (Suggested)

  1. Clean the mounting surface and the back of the ZenTurbo device.

  2. Apply the included double-sided tape to the back of the circular base.

  3. Press the device firmly onto the flat, stable surface for several seconds to ensure adhesion.

Option 2 – Screws (Optional)

  1. If maximum mechanical security is required, the customer may provide their own screws.

  2. Align the oval flanges with the surface and secure the device using two screws.


5. Step 3 – Verifying Operation

  1. Open KBeacon Pro on your smartphone and scan for nearby devices.

  2. Confirm that ZenTurbo is broadcasting and visible.

  3. Check that the MAC address matches the device label.


6. Step 4 – Linking to ZenduOne

  1. Log in to ZenduOne and navigate to the BLE Beacon / Devices section.

  2. Add a new beacon:

    • Type: BLE Beacon / Asset Tracker

    • Identifier: Enter ZenTurbo serial/MAC

  3. Assign to the correct asset and verify it is visible in the platform.


7. Best Practices & Notes

  • Double-sided tape is the standard mounting method and is included in the box.

  • Confirm beacon is broadcasting before final installation.

  • Document device serial and installation location for maintenance.

  • If screws are used, ensure they do not over-tighten and crack the plastic flanges.
