How long a ZenCAM stays on after the ignition turns off
Written By Vishal Singh
After the vehicle's ignition turns off, a ZenCAM stays powered on for a set time before it goes into standby or sleep. This is the ignition delay.
- The default is 15 minutes.
- It can be set as high as 23 hours 59 minutes.
Ignition delay is not something you can see or change in ZenduONE. Contact support to have it adjusted.
Why not to set it to the maximum
A camera needs to power down or go to sleep at least once a day to stay healthy. Setting the ignition delay close to the maximum keeps the camera running almost continuously, which can cause camera health problems over time and is not recommended.
If a camera never seems to go to sleep, ask support to check its ignition delay first.
