1. What ZenClicker Does

ZenClicker is a compact wireless button that:

  • Sends a Bluetooth event when the button is pressed

  • Can be carried by a user (driver, operator, personnel)

  • Can be glued or mounted to a surface for fixed-location use

  • Advertises button-press events to a compatible gateway (vehicle tracker, camera, or receiver)

Note: ZenClicker does not collect telemetry, location, or sensor data. Its sole purpose is to generate a button-press event that is detected by a nearby gateway and forwarded to the platform.

2. Before You Start

You will need:

  • A ZenClicker device

  • A compatible BLE gateway (vehicle tracker, camera, or receiver)

  • A smartphone or tablet with Bluetooth enabled

  • KBeacon Pro app installed (Available on iOS and Android)

3. Step 1 – Activate the Device

ZenClicker is powered by a replaceable battery.

  1. Open the ZenClicker casing.

  2. Verify the battery is installed correctly and has charge.

  3. Close the casing securely.

  4. Once powered, the device will begin advertising over Bluetooth.

Note: No password or pairing code is required.

4. Step 2 – Verify Button Function in KBeacon Pro

  1. Open KBeacon Pro and enable Bluetooth on your phone.

  2. Scan for nearby BLE devices.

  3. Locate the ZenClicker by MAC address or label.

  4. Select the device to view its advertising data.

What to verify:

  • The device is visible and advertising.

  • Battery level is reported and not low.

  • Press the button: Confirm that a button-press event is reflected in the advertising data.

5. Step 3 – Mounting or Carrying the Device

ZenClicker can be used in two ways:

  • Portable use: Carry in a pocket, on a lanyard, or clipped. Ensure it remains within BLE range of the gateway.

  • Fixed mounting: Can be glued or mounted to a surface (dashboard, wall, panel, etc.). Choose a location that is easy to access, within range, and not enclosed in metal.

6. Step 4 – Add ZenClicker to ZenduOne

6.1 Add ZenClicker as a BLE Beacon

  1. Log in to ZenduOne and navigate to Assets / Devices.

  2. Add a new device:

    • Device Type: BLE Beacon

    • Identifier: MAC address or serial

  3. Assign it to the correct customer/account.

6.2 Link ZenClicker to a Gateway Asset

  1. Open the gateway asset and enable BLE scanning.

  2. Add or whitelist the ZenClicker beacon.

  3. Configure it as a Button / Panic Button.

  4. Save changes.

7. Step 5 – Verify Button Events in ZenduOne

  1. Open the asset live view or event log in ZenduOne.

  2. Press the ZenClicker button.

  3. Confirm a button or panic event is received and displayed.

If events do not appear:

  • Confirm advertising in KBeacon Pro and battery level.

  • Ensure the gateway is within BLE range.

  • Confirm beacon whitelisting and configuration
