1. What ZenTurbo Does

ZenTurbo is a wireless presence beacon designed to:

  • Advertise its existence for asset tracking

  • Be detected by compatible BLE gateways (vehicle trackers, cameras, or receivers)

  • Allow the platform to confirm the presence of the asset

Note: ZenTurbo tracks presence only (no temperature, humidity, or motion sensors). It requires manual power via an internal button, has a replaceable battery, and can be opened like a β€œwater bottle cap” to access the internal components.

2. Before You Start

You will need:

  • ZenTurbo device

  • Compatible BLE gateway

  • Smartphone with Bluetooth enabled

  • KBeacon Pro app installed (iOS or Android)

3. Step 1 – Powering On / Off the Device

ZenTurbo uses an internal button accessed by opening the device:

  1. Open the cap like a water bottle to access the internal button.

  2. Power ON: Press and hold the internal button until the device starts advertising.

  3. Power OFF: Press and hold the internal button until the device stops advertising.

  4. Close the cap securely after powering on/off.

⚠️ Note: Ensure the cap is fully secured to protect the battery and internal components.

4. Step 2 – Verify Advertising in KBeacon Pro

  1. Open KBeacon Pro and enable Bluetooth on your phone.

  2. Scan for nearby BLE devices.

  3. Locate ZenTurbo by MAC address or label.

  4. Select the device to view details.

Confirm the following:

  • Device is visible and advertising.

  • Battery level is sufficient.

  • Device identifier is correct.

5. Step 3 – Add ZenTurbo to ZenduOne

5.1 Add as a BLE Beacon

  1. Log in to ZenduOne and navigate to BLE Beacon or Devices section.

  2. Add a new beacon:

    • Type: BLE Beacon / Asset Tracker

    • Identifier: MAC or serial

  3. Assign to the correct customer/account.

5.2 Link ZenTurbo to an Asset

  1. Open the asset profile in ZenduOne that will represent the tracked item.

  2. Add ZenTurbo as a linked beacon and save changes.

6. Step 4 – Verify Presence in ZenduOne

  1. Ensure ZenTurbo is within BLE range of the gateway.

  2. Open the live or asset view in ZenduOne.

  3. Confirm the device is detected and associated with the correct asset.

If ZenTurbo does not appear:

  • Confirm the device is advertising in KBeacon Pro.

  • Verify BLE scanning and whitelisting on the gateway.

  • Ensure the beacon is assigned to the correct asset.
