ZenTRACK Cargo- Installation Guide
(For installers / warehouse & field staff)
Written By Support Team

1. Purpose & Scope
This guide explains how to deploy the ZenTRACK Box (Suntech ST-4410) in the field.
It focuses on:
How to physically place and secure the device
Basic checks before sending the asset/box on its way
What to record for operations
Note: All bench configuration, SIM insertion, and activation should be done by Fulfillment using Synctrak (see Fulfillment Guide). Installers should assume the device is already configured and powered.
2. Device Overview
ZenTRACK Box is a portable, battery-powered, disposable tracker based on Suntech ST-4410.
Key characteristics:
Internal rechargeable battery
No permanent wiring โ fully self-contained
Designed to be placed inside:
Boxes / cartons
Pallets
Containers
Assets that move between locations
Connects over cellular to the ZenduIT backend for:
Location
Movement/trip history
Basic status, depending on configuration
When the internal battery is depleted, the unit is generally treated as disposable, but it can be recharged using the USB port and an external power supply.
3. Installation Prerequisites
Before deployment:
Confirm with Fulfillment/Operations that:
The device is pre-configured for ZenduIT (APN, server, profile).
The device has been charged (see Fulfillment Guide โ 1 hour USB charge).
Have:
The ZenTRACK Box device (inside its cardboard/housing).
Asset information (box ID, pallet ID, container number, shipment ID, etc.).
Optional: access to platform (ZenduOne) to confirm it is already linked to the correct asset.
4. Physical Placement
Choose a placement location inside the asset/container:
Inside the carton, crate, or pallet.
Protected from being crushed or punctured.
Not completely wrapped in thick metal layers that could block signal.
Positioning tips:
Place closer to the top or side of the container for better cellular/GNSS visibility.
Avoid areas with heavy liquids/metal immediately surrounding the device when possible.
Securing the device:
Use foam, bubble wrap, or protective packing so the box doesnโt move freely.
For pallets or large crates, you can tape or strap the device housing to a stable internal surface.
5. Pre-Dispatch Check
Confirm with the operations team that:
The device IMEI/serial is assigned to the correct shipment or asset in the platform.
If you have platform access:
Check the ZenTRACK Box asset in ZenduOne and confirm recent data (before loading it inside).
Once confirmed, seal the box/pallet/container as per logistics procedures.
6. Documentation & Handover
Record:
Shipment ID / asset ID
Device IMEI / serial (if printed on label)
Date and time of placement
Placement location (e.g., โinside pallet #34 โ top layerโ)
Provide this information to the logistics or operations team for tracking and delivery monitoring.
