Introducing Faults Application for Diagnostic Integration

We are excited to announce the release of our new Faults application, designed to work seamlessly with our diagnostic devices. This feature provides real-time monitoring and reporting of vehicle faults. Whenever a fault is triggered by a vehicle, it will be displayed in the Faults system, where users can view essential information such as the triggering app, fault status, the time it was first reported, fault severity, description, and protocol.

If the VIN number is not available, the system will show placeholder fields (severity, description, protocol, and source) until the VIN is entered. Users can easily input the VIN number to retrieve detailed vehicle information and gain a deeper understanding of the fault. This is the first implementation of the feature, with future updates planned to include a side panel that will display additional details, such as the potential impact on the vehicle if the fault is left untreated. A service request feature will also be integrated to help users manage the fault through the maintenance module.

Why It Matters:

This update enhances vehicle health management by providing clear, immediate insights into faults and their severity. By allowing users to input a VIN number, the system can provide more accurate and comprehensive data about the fault, improving diagnostics and decision-making. The upcoming features, such as the side panel with detailed information and service request functionality, will further streamline maintenance processes, ensuring users can act quickly and efficiently to resolve issues before they escalate.
